France: Harmonized inflation stable in February
Consumer prices recorded zero growth over the previous month in February, following the 0.15% rise logged in January. Looking at the details of the release, food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as manufacturing prices dropped in February compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, price pressures for services gained steam.
Inflation clocked in at 0.6% in February, matching January’s reading. Harmonized inflation came in at 0.8% in February (January: 0.8%), while annual average harmonized inflation fell to 0.4% in February (January: 0.5%).
