France: Inflation rises in January
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.21% in January over the previous month, moderating slightly from December’s 0.22% rise and likely owing to weaker price pressures for services.
Consumer price inflation came in at 0.6% in January (December: 0.0%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation clocked in at 0.8% in January (December: 0.0%), while annual average harmonized inflation remained at December’s 0.5% in January.
