France: Inflation slides in February
Consumer prices dropped a seasonally-adjusted 0.11% over the previous month in February, contrasting January’s 0.15% increase. February’s result marked the sharpest fall in prices since September 2020 and largely reflected declining prices for manufactured goods.
Inflation edged down to 0.4% in February, from January’s 0.6%. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation came in at 0.7% in February, which was down from January’s 0.8%, and annual average harmonized inflation fell to 0.4% in February (January: 0.5%).
