France: Harmonized inflation drops in June
In June, consumer prices rose 0.1%, matching May’s reading, according to a second release by the Statistical Institute (INSEE). June’s print largely reflected an increase in prices for energy.
Similarly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month in June, after rising 0.2% in May, while harmonized inflation came in at 0.2% (May: 0.4%). Meanwhile, annual average harmonized inflation ticked down to 1.0% (May: 1.1%).
