France: Harmonized inflation rises to over one-year high in March
Consumer prices increased 0.59% in March over the previous month, after flatlining in February and marking the sharpest increase in prices since March 2019. Looking at the details of the release, price pressures for manufactured products increased markedly.
Inflation rose to 1.1% in March, following February’s 0.6%. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation rose to 1.4% in March, up from February’s 0.8%, marking the highest reading since February last year, while annual average harmonized inflation was unchanged at February’s 0.4% in March.
