Ghana: Inflation rises in June
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 1.30% from the previous month in June, picking up from April’s 0.78% increase. May’s result was largely due quicker price growth for food and transport.
Inflation came in at 7.8% in June, up from May’s 7.5% which had marked the lowest level since August 2013. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 9.7% in June (May: 10.0%).
