Ghana: Inflation comes in at highest level since December 2016 in January
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 2.11% in January over the previous month, following the 1.23% increase recorded in December. January’s figure was the sharpest increase in prices since April 2020.
Inflation increased to 13.9% in January, above December’s 12.6%. January’s result marked the highest inflation rate since December 2016. Annual average inflation rose to 10.3% in January (December: 10.0%).
