Ghana: Inflation rises in July
Inflation came in at 43.1% in July, up from June’s 42.5%. Looking at the details of the release, clothing and footwear prices rose at a quicker pace in July compared to the previous month, which more than offset price pressures for transport easing.
Accordingly, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 44.6% in July (June: 43.8%).
Finally, consumer prices rose a seasonally adjusted 3.57% from the previous month in July, picking up from the 3.22% increase logged in June.
