Ghana: Inflation slides in June
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 1.00% over the previous month in June, slowing down from May’s 1.70% increase. June’s result marked the softest rise in prices since March and came on the back of softer price increases for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and personal care and social protection.
Inflation came in at 11.2% in June, from May’s 11.3% print. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.8% in June (May: 8.6%).
