Greece: Industrial output records best result on record in April
Industrial output increased 7.5% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in April, which contrasted March’s 1.5% decrease. April’s figure marked the best reading on record. The reading reflected a broad-based upturn, with activity in the manufacturing, electricity supply and water supply sub-sectors all improving in April.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose 10.8% in April (March: -0.6% yoy), the best result since October 2021. Accordingly, annual average industrial production growth rose to 3.1% in April (March: +2.6%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
