Greece: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in two years in October
Industrial output grew 6.2% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in October, which contrasted September’s 2.0% decrease. October’s figure marked the best reading since April 2021. October’s improvement was largely due to a notable rebound in manufacturing output. In contrast, electricity supply production fell.
On an annual basis, factory output rose 10.5% in October, which was notably better than September’s 1.9% expansion and marked the best result since October 2021. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 1.4% in October (September: +0.4%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
