Greece: Industrial production declines again in April
Industrial production dropped 0.8% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in April, following March’s revised 2.8% decline (previously reported: -2.7% year-on-year), which had marked the sharpest fall in three years. April’s downturn was largely driven by a contraction of the manufacturing, and mining and quarrying sectors.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production fell a steep 3.3% in April, following the marginal 0.1% increase logged in March. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged down from 1.6% in March to 1.3% in April.
