Greece: Industrial production rebounds in June
Industrial production rose 0.3% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in June, contrasting May’s revised 0.1% dip (previously reported: -1.2% year-on-year). June’s rebound was largely driven by a return to growth in the water supply sector, and softer contractions in the mining and quarrying and electricity supply sectors.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production rose a strong 4.4% in June, accelerating from the 0.9% increase logged in May. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged down to 1.8% in June from 1.9% in May.
