Greece: Industrial production rebounds in September
Industrial production rose 1.2% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in September, rebounding from August’s 0.1% slip. September’s upturn was mainly driven by a strong pick-up in manufacturing output. Meanwhile, the electricity supply sector contracted at a sharper pace, and output gains the water supply sector moderated compared to August.
On a month-on-month and working-day adjusted basis, industrial production rose a robust 7.1% in September, also rebounding from the 11.9% plunge logged in August. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production ticked down to 1.3% from 1.4% in the previous month.
