Greece: Harmonized inflation rises in July
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.0% in July, which was up from June’s 2.2%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and for transporation increased at quicker rates in July. That said, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation remained at June’s 3.0% in July. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 2.7% in July from June’s 2.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.21% in July over the previous month, swinging from June’s 1.02% rise.
