Greece: Harmonized inflation falls in November
Harmonized inflation eased to 2.9% in November, following October’s 3.8%. The result was primarily due to a slower increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for transportation declined at a quicker pace. Moreover, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 4.5% in November (October: 4.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.0% in November, from October’s 3.4%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 1.11% in November over the previous month, swinging from the 0.11% increase logged in October. November’s result marked the weakest reading since October 2022.
