Greece: Unemployment rate falls in May
May’s data sent mixed signals regarding the health of the labor market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 10.6% in May from April’s downwardly revised 10.7%, while the number of employed people decreased by 63,083 compared with April.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed decreased by 11,472 relative to April. However, the number of individuals outside the labor force increased by 72,256 compared with April, representing a 2.4% rise.
