Greece: Unemployment rate falls in June
June’s data sent positive signals regarding the health of the labor market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 9.6% in June from May’s downwardly revised 10.3%, while the number of employed people increased by 41,192 compared with May.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed fell by 30,629 relative to May. Moreover, the number of individuals outside the labor force decreased by 12,838 compared with May, representing a 0.4% drop.
