Greece: Unemployment rate stable in January
The number of unemployed workers decreased by 7,100 from December in January, while the seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate remained at December’s 12.8% in January. That said, January’s print suggests a deteriorating labor market, as the number employed persons fell by 68,799, when compared to December.
Moreover, youth unemployment—categorized by individuals between the ages of 15–24—rose to 32.6% in January from December’s 27.0%.
