Guatemala: Economic activity growth decelerates in August
Economic activity expanded 3.0% compared to the same month of the previous year in August, decelerating from July’s 4.3% growth.
Looking at the details of the release, August’s result chiefly reflected growth in financial services, retail, real estate and agriculture.
Meanwhile, the trend weakened, with annual average growth in economic activity coming in at 3.7% in August, down from 3.8% in July.
