Guatemala: Inflation drops in June
Inflation cooled to 3.6% in June from May’s 3.8%. Looking at the details of the release, slower price pressures for housing and utilities outweighed faster price growth for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation slowing to 4.0% in June (May: 4.1%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.16% in June over the previous month, picking up from the 0.03% increase seen in May.
