Guatemala: Inflation eases in September
Consumer prices fell 0.58% month-on-month in September, softening from the 0.86% decrease in August. The print was driven by significantly lower food prices offsetting more expensive transportation costs.
Inflation, meanwhile, dropped from 3.0% in August to 1.8% in September, the lowest reading since January 2010. Consequently, annual average inflation eased to 3.8% from 4.0% in August.
