Guatemala: Inflation rises in October
Consumer prices rose 0.70% month-on-month in October, contrasting the 0.58% fall in September. The print was driven by a strong rise in food prices while transport and recreation also became notably more expensive. On the other hand, housing prices fell strongly.
Inflation, meanwhile, rose to 2.2% in October from 1.8% in September; however, annual average inflation moderated to 3.6% from 3.8%.
