Guatemala: Inflation drops to lowest level since June 2022 in April
Inflation fell to 8.3% in April below March’s 8.7%. April’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since June 2022. The reading was driven by moderating price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and electricity.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.7% in April (March: 8.4%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.17% from the previous month in April, coming in below March’s 0.38% increase. April’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2022.
