Hong Kong: Inflation falls to lowest level since March in June
Consumer prices were flat over the previous month in June, coming in below May’s 0.20% increase. Looking at the details of the release, utilities prices dropped in June compared to the previous month, while price pressures for transportation eased.
Inflation inched down to 0.7% in June moderately below May’s 0.9%. June’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since March. In addition, the trend was unchanged, with the annual average variation of consumer prices coming in at May’s minus 0.1% in June.
