Hong Kong: Inflation rises in April
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.10% from the previous month in April, a smaller increase than the 0.40% increase logged in March. The reading was driven by falling prices for housing and for utilities. In addition, prices for food grew at a more subdued pace.
Inflation came in at 0.7% in April, up from March’s 0.5%. The annual average variation of consumer prices was flat in April (March: +0.1%).
