Hungary: Inflation recedes in September
Consumer prices declined 0.40% from the previous month in September, following August’s flat reading. September’s figure was the lowest print since April and largely reflected lower prices for food and services.
Inflation fell to 3.4% in September, from August’s 3.9%. August’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate in three months. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.5%, from August’s 3.4%. Lastly, core inflation dropped to 4.0% from the previous month’s 4.7%, which had marked the highest reading in over seven years.
