Hungary: Inflation falls to lowest level since August 2022 in July
Inflation dropped to 17.6% in July, following June’s 20.1%. July’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since August 2022. The reading was primarily due to lower price pressures for food and recreation.
Annual average inflation rose to 21.9% in July (June: 21.7%). Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 17.5% in July, from the previous month’s 20.8%.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.26% in July over the previous month, moderating from June’s 0.27% increase.
