Hungary: Inflation recedes in October
Consumer prices increased 0.20% from the previous month in October, contrasting September’s 0.40% drop. October’s figure was the lowest print since April and largely reflected higher prices for clothing and footwear and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation fell to 3.0% in October, from September’s 3.4%. October’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate in four months. Meanwhile, the trend remained stable, with annual average inflation coming in at September’s 3.5% in October. Lastly, core inflation dropped to 3.8% from the previous month’s 4.0%.
