India: Industrial output grows at fastest pace since October 2023 in May
Industrial production expanded 5.9% year on year in May (April: +5.0% yoy). The result marked the best reading since October 2023. The improvement was partly due to faster growth in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining production decelerated.
Meanwhile, annual average growth of industrial production was 5.9% in May, matching April’s print.
