Indonesia: Inflation comes in at highest level in five years in June
Consumer prices rose 0.61% in June over the previous month, accelerating from May’s 0.40% rise. The was largely driven by increasing prices for clothing and footwear.
Inflation increased to 4.3% in June, following May’s 3.6%. June’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since June 2017. Annual average inflation rose to 2.4% in June (May: 2.1%). Lastly, core inflation was stable, coming in at May’s 2.6% in June.
