Indonesia: Inflation unchanged in August
In August, consumer prices declined 0.05% from the previous month, contrasting July’s 0.28% increase. August’s print largely reflected lower food prices.
Inflation remained at 3.2% in August, within the Bank Indonesia target range for 2018 of 3.5% plus or minus 1.0 percentage point. Annual average inflation was unchanged at 3.4%, while core inflation was also stable at 2.9%.
