Ireland: Consumer confidence increases in December
Consumer confidence came in at 62.4 in December, up from November’s 61.9. December’s result marked the best reading since July.
Consumers became more upbeat about the current state of the economy, as well as their past and year-ahead financial situations. They also expressed greater willingness to make major purchases.
The reading marked the third consecutive improvement, suggesting that private spending may be on the path to recovery as inflation begins to gradually cool.
