Ireland: Harmonized inflation remains at lowest level since April 2021 in July
Harmonized inflation came in at 1.5% in July, matching June’s result. July’s result marked the joint-lowest inflation rate since April 2021. While price pressures for housing plus food and non-alcoholic beverages moderated, those for transport accelerated.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 2.7% in July (June: 3.0%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was steady, coming in at June’s 2.2% in July.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.17% over the previous month in July, below June’s 0.33% increase. July’s result marked the weakest reading since January.
