Israel: Business confidence remains elevated while consumer sentiment improves slightly in July
According to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), in July consumer sentiment in Israel improved slightly while business confidence moderated somewhat.
Consumer confidence edged up from minus 8.5 points in June to minus 8.0 points in July, on the back of less pessimistic views on the labor market, which likely fed into households’ slightly improved outlook on their ability to save and their economic situation. However, consumers’ view on economic developments in the general economy grew slightly more pessimistic.
Furthermore, business sentiment eased from 23.2 points in June to 22.5 points in July.
