Italy: Industrial output dips in October
Industrial output fell 0.2% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in October (September: +0.1% mom). The weakening was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output. In addition, mining and quarrying output decelerated.
On an annual basis, industrial production dropped 1.1% in October, a smaller contraction than September’s 2.0% fall. Moreover, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 2.5%, up from September’s minus 2.6% reading.
