Italy: Inflation hits near two-year high in March
Consumer prices rose 0.29% over the previous month in March, following February’s 0.10% increase, according to a preliminary estimate.
Inflation came in at 0.8% in March, an uptick from February’s 0.6% and marking the highest reading since May 2019. Annual average inflation came in at minus 0.1% in March, mirroring February’s result. Lastly, harmonized inflation dropped to 0.6% in March, from February’s 1.0%.
