Japan: Industrial output rebounds in June
Industrial output rose 2.4% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in June (May: -2.2% mom). The rebound was partly due to a notable recovery in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining production weakened.
On an annual basis, industrial output was flat in June (May: +4.2% yoy). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 0.8% in June (May: +0.6%), which marked an over one-year high.
