Japan: Inflation declines to lowest level since September 2022 in March
Inflation ticked down to 3.2% in March, from February’s 3.3%. March’s reading represented the lowest inflation rate since September 2022.
Annual average inflation ticked up to 3.2% in March (February: 3.0%). Meanwhile, core inflation edged down to 3.1% in March, from February’s 3.2%.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.38% from the previous month in March, swinging from February’s 0.64% fall.
