Japan: Exports grow at weaker pace in November
Yen-denominated merchandise exports shot up 20.0% year-on-year in November (October: +25.3% year-on-year). Meanwhile, merchandise imports soared 30.3% on an annual basis in November (October: +53.5% yoy), marking the weakest result since April 2022.
As a result, the merchandise trade balance from the previous month, recording a JPY 2.0 trillion in November (October 2022: JPY 2.2 trillion; November 2021: JPY 1.0 trillion).
