Kazakhstan: Industrial output falls at sharper pace in October
Industrial output nosedived 6.2% year-on-year in October (September: -3.5% yoy). The notable plunge was largely driven by a sharper drop in mining and quarrying output, which fell at the sharpest pace since July. In addition, manufacturing production growth decelerated, while energy production contracted at a faster rate.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.4% in October (September: +1.4%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
