Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth improves in August
Industrial production rose 5.4% year on year in August (July: +2.7% yoy). August’s improvement was partly due to an uptick in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production growth. On the contrary, energy and water supply lost some steam, with the former contracting on an annual basis.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 1.9% in August (July: +1.5%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
