Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth dips in April
Industrial production expanded 1.4% year on year in April (March: +3.0% yoy), the worst reading in five months. Looking at the details of the release, April’s downturn reflected water supply and mining output, which swung into contraction. Meanwhile, manufacturing and energy supply gained traction in April.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average industrial production growth falling to 4.3% in April (March: +4.7%).
