Kazakhstan: Industrial output drops at sharpest rate since August 2016 in June
Industrial production collapsed 5.6% year-on-year in June (May: +0.5% yoy). June’s reading marked the worst reading since August 2016.
The result largely reflected a weaker mining industry. In addition, electricity, water and gas production lost pace. Accordingly, annual average industrial production growth fell to 4.1% in June (May: +5.0%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
