Kazakhstan: Industrial output records largest decline in over one year in June
Industrial output declined 1.3% compared to the same month a year earlier in June, which contrasted May’s 3.1% increase. The figure marked the worst reading since January 2021. June’s downturn largely reflected drops in mining and quarrying, as well as in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output. However, manufacturing production growth accelerated.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.6% in June, down from May’s 4.9% reading.
