Kazakhstan: Industrial output records lowest expansion since February 2021 in April
Industrial output rose 1.2% in year-on-year terms in April, which was a deterioration from March’s 8.1% increase. The outturn marked the worst reading since February 2021. The result largely reflected weaker manufacturing output. In addition, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output contracted.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 4.9% in April (March: +5.0%). This signals a slight worsening trend in the industrial sector.
