Kazakhstan: Industrial sector gains traction in October
Industrial production growth jumped to 5.4% on an annual basis in October after slowing to 3.7% in September. October’s upturn was underpinned by a surge in mining output and easing contraction in the water supply sector. These more than offset a loss of steam in manufacturing activity and a swing to decline in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning.
Annual average growth in industrial production inched up to 3.1% in October from 3.0% in September.
