Kazakhstan: Industrial production growth picks up in July
Industrial production picked up slightly in July, expanding 4.4% in annual terms, following a 4.2% year-on-year rise in June.
Looking at a breakdown of the sub-sectors, the mining and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sectors accelerated, while the manufacturing sector grew at a slightly weaker rate. On the other hand, the water supply, sewerage system and waste management sector continued contracting at the same rate as the previous month.
Annual average growth in industrial production edged down to 5.7% in July from 5.9% in June.
