Kazakhstan: Inflation declines in June but remains elevated
Inflation cooled to 14.6% in June, below May’s 15.9%, marking the fourth consecutive monthly slowdown. Looking at the details of the release, the slowdown was driven by softer increases in prices for food and housing and utilities.
Meanwhile, annual average inflation came in at May’s 17.9% in June.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.39% over the previous month in June, down from May’s 0.63% uptick.
