Kazakhstan: Inflation decreases in October
Inflation came in at 10.8% in October, which was down from September’s 11.8%. October’s reading represented the weakest inflation rate since February 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food, clothing and housing increased at a weaker rate in October
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 16.2% in October (September: 16.9%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.72% in October over the previous month, picking up from September’s 0.58% increase. October’s figure marked the highest reading since April.
